4th of July Weekend

There's nothing better than three day weekends! Our 4th of July weekend started off with Ellia graduating to a big girl booster seat. It was not a move of choice on Mommy and Daddy's end, but we had no choice seeing as I witnessed her climb right into her highchair. It was very obviously time to upgrade! So, we welcomed her to the table and Mommy took advantage of her being preoccupied in her new big girl seat and gave her her very first set of pigtails!

Sunday was family beach day.  Since this is one of the first weekends in a long time that James hasn't had to work we were taking full advantage and spending as much time together as possible. The beach was a blast of course, Daddy dug a huge hole and got sand crabs with the girls.

Monday, the 4th of July we went to our friends the Salamida's for their Grandparents annual 4th of July BBQ.  Lily went right for the pool and had a blast swimming with Uncle Brad.

Even Colton, our friends Jessica and Joey's son, was helping Lily in the pool by pulling her around, it was very cute.

Ellia was not a fan of the pool. I was able to get her to put her feet in after being there for over an hour but that's as far as she got.

We finished up the 4th with Ellia and Daddy hitting the sack early and Mommy and Lily going to Grandma's to watch the fireworks on the big tv and have ice cream.  The trooper that she is stayed up until 9:45pm to see fireworks and we were able to see a few driving home from the Great America show. I parked the car and got out so we could see better and as soon as she heard a few she said "that's loud, let's go", at that point I was really glad we didn't try and go to a show somewhere!
